We know that high levels of stress, burnout, and turnover plague CYD work, and we strive to intervene at the root causes of these ailments to build healthy and sustainable work cultures for all of our partners in the CYD field. We do this through Grants for wellness and self care, as well as Personal Development, Professional Development, and Leadership Development programs and services.

Responsive grant programs support the intersectional needs of individuals working in the field of CYD and funds can be allocated to areas defined by recipients.

Personal Development

Deep, long-term relationships between young people and positive adult artist mentors are at the heart of CYD. These trusting relationships are key to social-emotional development and supporting young people in reaching their full potential. The Center provides support to individuals in community building and self-care to foster resilience and deepen practice.

Professional Development

The Center curates high-quality and low-cost professional development workshops, trainings, and opportunities throughout the year to support continuous learning in areas that our partners identify as needed.

Leadership Development

We know that leaders of CYD organizations face unique challenges that are specific to this field. The Center brings partners together in communities of practice to lend peer support and share resources that ensure they have everything they need to sustain their work and deepen their leadership proficiencies.
